1841 Mississippi Boarding House

We just happen to own the oldest standing home in Burlington IA. Built in 1841, this historic home was once a riverboat passenger boarding house...before Iowa was even a state, just a part of the Wisconsin Territory. The home has been wonderfully preserved and still has many of its original features, including wide-plank hardwood floors on all 3 living levels, and a cast iron hanging cook pot in the Dining Room fireplace.
